Lesbians On Ecstasy give a nod to The Runaways

Lesbians On Ecstasy have borrowed "Queens Of Noise" lyrics for Track 8 "Queens On Noise (Bring Da Bunny)" on their new album. Tower Records has a sound clip to listen to.

Any group that throws recycled Melissa Etheridge lyrics over some misguided metalhead's idea of techno, accompanies a k.d. lang torch song with Casio presets, interrupts an electro-folk rendition of an Indigo Girls hit with a drill and bass break, turns a Joan Jett tribute into a Public Enemy homage, and refigures a Tribe 8 song as a synths-and-cellos '80s ballad can't be dismissed as a one-joke novelty act.

I got the disc a few days ago. Most of the lyrics from "Queens Of Noise" end up in their song "Queens On Noise," but the chorus melody has changed a bit. The first and second verse music and lyrics are recognizable.
